Yoga on the Steps

We’d like to introduce you to our very first and very special guest blogger, Kevin Gianotto, Associate Director of Marketing and Corporate Partnerships at Living Beyond Brest Cancer (LBBC).  LBBC holds a very special place in our hearts and we’re so excited to be supporting and sponsoring their mission to empower all women affected by breast cancer.

Enjoy Kevin’s post…

On Sunday, July 28, a very stylish yoga class will be taking place at Barney Allis Plaza when Silpada Designs introduces Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s signature education and fundraising event, Yoga on the Steps to Kansas City, Mo.

A Bit of Background

LBBC is one of the country’s leading nonprofit organizations for women diagnosed with breast cancer.  We provide information, connection, support and empower diagnosed women and their caregivers. We give them the tools to help them make the best and most informed decisions for themselves and their families. With the exception of some small conference registration fees, all of our services and programs are free – due in large part to the support of partners like Silpada Designs.

Yoga Mats

Yoga on the Steps started in Philadelphia in 2002 and in 2011, we began a national expansion initiative that now sees additional events hosted in Washington, DC and Denver, Colo.  This year, Silpada’s generosity has allowed us to bring the event to Kansas City, Mo. as a highlight of the organization’s National Conference.

Yoga on the Steps

New to yoga?  You’ll love it.  Experienced yogi?  You’ll love it, too.  That’s because the event has been designed for all skill levels.  Best of all, the money you raise as a fundraising participant directly benefits women of all ages diagnosed with all stages and types of breast cancer.

We hope you’ll join us. (And don’t worry, we won’t actually be practicing on steps.  That’s just an homage to where the event began – the iconic steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.)
